 Nice smallish site, with a mix of touring pitches and chalet type accommodation, swimming pool, petanque pitches, etc.
Fairly modern toilet block, kept very clean.
Reasonable sized pitches with tree shade.
30 minute walk into St Galmier, a nice wee town with a picturesque square, cafes and restaurants.
15 min drive into St Etienne.

Overnighted here on our way north to Burgundy, and what a disappointment. There appeared to be only about 10 spaces for tourers and the rest is very tightly packed-in permanent caravans, many of which are some years past their sell-by date. The toilet/shower block was dated but perfectly OK, clean and plenty of hot water. Our pitch was fine with a nice view of the meadow from one side, but as has been said before the views otherwise are just tatty old permanent vans.

Had intended to stay 4 nights on our way north but stayed only 2. Location was delightful and when sitting outside we had idyllic view over meadow, babbling brook, wooded hillside and cornfield. However, further along the row from us there were many permanently sited tourers, closely packed in, nose to tail, and rather scruffy appearance. The sanitaire block was in need of some DIY, such as chipped tiles and dirty grouting in the showers. No loo paper provided, no loo seats. Biggest disappointment was the wifi for which the receptionist wanted 3€ a day! We were unable to find the signal at the pitch but were told it would probably be OK near the sanitaire. No thanks. We didn't venture very far - just for groceries and fuel. Handy as a night halt as it is about 15 minutes from the motorway.
