An absolute gem!
Lovely adults only CL consisting of 5 fully serviced pitches (WiFi, electric, water & drainage). Laid out in a practical and unique cartwheel design - the electric is centrally located in the ‘hub’ and then spoking out are the 5 segments, which result in each pitch being enormous. The established hedges between pitches give the perfect amount of privacy, whilst allowing good visibility too.
Included in the price is 10 units of electricity per day. If you use over that amount then it’s billable. We used approx 50% of our week’s worth of 70 units for our late May 24 visit.
The owners Stephanie and Wayne are extremely pleasant, and during our 7 night stay they lit the fire pit on 3 evenings which is a great way to enjoy the sunset and chat to fellow campers. You can also buy logs for a private fire pit session if you desire.
The CAMC 5 pitches have access to an extremely clean bathroom facility (toilet, sink and shower), all included in the price.
All 5 pitches are grass, so Wayne often helps tow caravans onto the pitches with his tractor. We had no trouble arriving and departing in our motorhome even with fairly damp ground after considerable rain. There are two ‘overflow’ fully serviced gravel pitches available for temporary use if it’s not possible to get to the proper pitches due to wet weather.
The site also consists of 5-6 non CAMC pitches, for tents & smaller campervans (no caravans). These are located in a separate field, and have their own pair of bathroom facilities (toilet, basin & shower), plus washing up area. The CAMH pitches can use these facilities too.
The site owners keep a trio of lovely goats, a beautiful horse (who is living out his retiring years in comfort) and some peacocks. They previously had some alpacas but not any longer.
The site is located perfectly between the market town of Banbury and the thriving Stratford Upon Avon. Both are easily reached by road, or by bus from a nearby village (10 mins cycle).
The surrounding area is wonderful for cycling, consisting of lots of villages, country lanes, characterful old pubs, and minimal traffic.
Crofts Barn has now become a firm favourite after just one visit, so much so that we’ll be returning in 2025 😀.

In many ways this is a lovely site. Kept in excellent condition, big pitches, quiet, extensive dog walks.
However, it does have a couple of niggles. The facilities are kept wonderfully but are cramped and the space not used optimally. But in an adult only site can the owners not trust campers to adjust their own water flow and temperature. So you get a push button delivering water too hot for my wife.
Having email prompts is fine, but surely in a small site the owners could actually visit the pitch. We in 5 days only saw them on the first day.

A delightful site well kept and maintained our pitch looked on to the paddock so we could watch the donkeys and horses play. The grass pitches are a really good size plenty of room for an awning and still room for BBQ and eating.
Stephane greeted us and showed us to our pitch and pointed out all the services it is nice to be met with friendly and cheerful face. There a shop, pub and takeaway in Tysoe a small village just up the road.
Pitches do slope so you will need levelling blocks but there are some on site for you to use if need be. Access road is a little narrow towards the end but I have seen worse, key coded security gates at the entrance to the drive.
Cars have to parked in the carpark next to reception ( this can be a pain if the weather is bad )
Shower and toilet are next to reception shared with two offices which is not problem even with Covi-19 restrictions.
All in all a site well worth a visit for peace and quite and something a little different.

This is a beautifully kept site. Pitches arranged in a cartwheel style so masses of room. Grass and hedges all tended well.
Toilet and shower facilities or a very high standard and immaculately clean. Sanitiser available.
Water and drainage available on each pitch. Owners very pleasant, welcoming and helpful.
Site quiet and peaceful. Perfect.

Crofts Barn should set the standard not just for CAMC CLs but for all small caravan sites! RevRoger says it all really, but I will add a note about access.
Following the directions to the site is straightforward as far as the left turn signed to the business park. However, shortly after this place there is a clear sign for a CL on the right through a pair of metal gates.
This is not Crofts Barn! Continue ahead through a cross-roads until reaching the site entrance in another half mile or so. The site requires full payment in advance by bank transfer, and we got an e-mail requesting this about four days before we were due to arrive.
Unfortunately at this time we were on a CL elswhere which had no mobile signal and only a faint unreliable WIFI service. This made making the bank payment difficult, and perhaps risky on an insecure network.
A side effect of this was that we did not receive the access code for the site gates, meaning a few minutes delay whilst we located the owner. These are things to be aware of, but do not detract from the overall experience of staying on such a unique and high standard site.
Places to visit include Upton House, virtually next door, and Charlecote Park a little further away, as well as the obvious attractions of Stratford on Avon and Warwick.

This is a superb site offering full facilities, drainage, water and electricity to each pitch.
The layout is based on the clock face with the pitches placed on the hour numbers and the facilities towards the centre.
The wash, shower and toilet facilities are the most luxurious we have ever met in 45 years of caravanning.
The owners are most friendly and clearly have designed their site through their own experience of caravanning.
Very fresh new laid eggs are available at a very reasonable price.
