A convenient overnight stop, through quite narrow streets.
One new toilet/shower block.
In late Feb the offered pitches were quite rutty and covered with small branches and twigs, looking quite uncared for. Some parts were roped off. It's probably different in summer.
I note that is says open in May 2023, but we weren't alone using it in February.

We stopped here overnight. It is very handy for the A20. The site is pleasantly located next to the river. The facilities have had some modernisation recently and were clean and operational. The town looked pleasant from our brief visit, but everything was closed on Mondays, including most of the boulangeries. Unfortunately the only draw back of this site was that there was no bread service. Apart from that this was a good stopover site.

Reviewers - Mature couple with campervan and bikes.
We chose this site from the ACSI book on our way south, it sounded like our sort of site from the description.
We followed their directions and found the site easily, it is just on the edge of the town. The site gives the impression of having been an orchard, it is flat and grassy with lots of trees, and backs onto the river. There is a barrier, but when I went to the reception, even though it was lunchtime the friendly warden let us in, and invited us to choose our own pitch. There had been lots of rain, but the pitches had drained quite well. The grass could have done with a cut, but the weather may have suspended this.
The sanitary block was quite old fashioned, though clean, with separate facilities for the sexes and some disabled facilities too. It was quite dark at night, you need a torch.
We didn't pitch near the river, needing to be under the trees for shade. The river was quite fast flowing with a weir, I'm not sure whether you could bathe there.
There is a riverside path into the town which the warden said was rather narrow. We had a look, it seemed rather overgrown, so we cycled in on the road. Town has a selection of shops, and some Roman remains. We didn't make a full investigation as it was too hot for us, but what we saw was quite nice.
We would use this site again.
