 Great campsite with all facilities in clean condition.
Great location right by a crystal clear river to swim in to cool down.
10 min walk to local train station and 10 min journey gets you to Cognac.

Reviewers - mature couple with campervan and bikes.
We chose this site as an overnighter, I spotted something about the town on a leaflet and it sounded interesting.
We followed the signs in the town centre, it was easy to find the campsite, it is on the riverside, and I think is a municipal. The site is quite large and flat with an area of chalets at one side. There is a campervan aire by the gates too.
The office was closed when we arrived and there is a barrier, so we waited until the friendly girl returned. We were allocated a pitch not too far from the sanitaire, the pitch was grassy and shaded by trees. The site looked clean and well cared for, and there is a small river running through the centre.
The sanitary block seemed new, with separate facilities for the sexes. Washing up was outside under cover. Down the far end of the site is an open area suitable for play, tents were pitched there too. Immediately outside the site is the public swimming pool, next to it a popular restaurant, the whole on a riverside leisure area with a playground and picnic tables.
We walked from the site to the town, via a footbridge and along a canal with locks. Town is quite small, has a few useful shops, with a supermarket a short cycle away. The Cognac makers are in this town too, on the riverside.
We really enjoyed our stay here, and it was inexpensive too.
