 This is a very busy site. We arrived on spec one lunchtime and got the last free pitch. Booking ahead would be recommended. The site is on a very steep slope, with pitches on terraces. It can be quite a climb to the top, which is where reception, the bar/restaurant and the pool are. We were in the lowest pitch, which was very shady, but it was a bit of a climb to the wash block. However, we saw fireflies in the evenings and were regularly entertained by a red squirrel in the nearby trees. There are two blocks, both immaculately clean. As it was not high season, all the cleaning and other work seemed to be done by the proprietor and his wife. Unfortunately, the weather was cool and damp while we were there, so we moved on after a few days. However, in the heat the shadiness of many of the pitches would be welcomed. Bread could be ordered on site and there is a small shop in the reception area. Some English is spoken. We paid an extra 2. 20 euros a night over the normal ACSI price so that we could have 10amp electricity. We were limited in where we could walk the dogs and restricted ourselves to the lane outside the site. Le Bar sur Loup and other villages in the area are very pretty and well worth a visit, but be warned that there are some very steep hills to walk up! Wi Fi not free, but access cards can be bought at reception. Not the cheapest of sites, even with an ASCI card, but this is not a cheap area so it is probably about par for the course.
