 Set in a Pinewood beside the Krossinsee Lake nature area. Reception was extremely friendly, helpful and spoke good English. The site works on a fob system used for the barrier and showers which are charged by deducting money off your fob which was preloaded free for us at the start of our visit. Showers and toilets were clean and plentiful plus there is an indoor wash up and laundry room. There is a Bar, Restaurant and small shop on site plus a camping shop at the entrance. There is no pitch markers and you just find a space amongst the trees in the blocks allocated. Electricity is 10A, water is only available from inside the services block but has a Motorhome fill hose which is situated between the chemical toilet pans which I would not use, a grey water dump for motorhomes is also available. Wifi is free and available on most pitches but has a variable signal and slow at times but mostly quite usable for browsing etc. There are walks by the lake, bikes for hire and boats of all description to hire. Supermarket is available in Schmockwitz about 1. 5mls away, walkable on cycle track or bus.
We used the site mainly to visit Berlin but stayed on longer to enjoy the area.
To get to Berlin you need to take a bus (or you cycle or walk 1. 5mls) to Alt Schmockwitz, catch the 68 Tram to Grunau, S-Bahn S8 or S85 to Ostkreuz then S-Bahn to central Berlin. That may sound daunting but all connections are next to each other and really well signed and even we managed it without bother. It took 1hr to get there and 1. 5hrs to get back as the bus only runs hourly and needs timing right on the way back. A day ticket to cover all transport inc the U-Bahn was 7€. Would happily return to this site.
