Site is in a lovely setting beside a lake and close to the picturesque town.

Reception was friendly and helpful and spoke some English. The site is behind barriers operated by a plastic key, 20€ deposit, that also gives access to the toilet block and gate to the river area. Pitches were grassy/fine shingle and in sections surrounded by hedges, not a lot of shade. Toilets and showers (free) were very clean but may be limited in number at busy times.

16A electricity plus many water points around. WiFi available at a charge. There are premium pitches overlooking the lake.

The town of Eschwege is close and well worth a visit and a walking tour in English available from the TIC. There is a supermarket not too far from site. The site has good walking by the lake and rivers and a walk up the hill to the Bismarck Tower from which there are fantastic views from the top.
