Easy access to Ffrith beach - smooth hard path from campsite through dunes made it very easy to get kayak on wheels to the seafront. At high tide next to no beach, at low tide miles of clean sandy beach.
Two toilet/shower blocks - separate toilet facilities and 4 shared showers in each one (cubicles completely private so although I don’t normally like this set up no issues here). One block is in the middle of the campsite, the other behind reception is significantly less busy if you don’t mind the walk. Both kept very clean (and not closed for cleaning) even during the much busier weekend periods.
Loads of dogs on site - I suspect because they are allowed on Ffrith beach whereas other parts of Prestatyn or Rhyl beaches are dog free during the summer months.
Easy traffic free cycling along the coast in both directions if you are not wanting to take a circular route.
Rhyl is within walking distance on the same path. Much bigger than Prestatyn with more amenities and activities for children but we preferred Prestatyn.
We didn’t use the bar or bowling alley but they seemed popular. Reception is on the same building.
As stated no shop but takeaways just across the road, a Spar and then a Co op in easy walking distance and Lidl, Tesco’s and M&S in Prestatyn (which is only about a 15 min walk if you give the beach path a miss)
This is (highly unusually) our first trip this year so did think £43 per night was quite pricey but school holidays next to the beach??

Been coming here for years, amazing position next to an amazing beach,
The fees have risen, the book in time has been extended to 2pm so they can Hoover and polish the pitch for 3 hours,
The WiFi coverage is now terrible where is used to be great ( WiFi blocker to encourage their own WiFi ? )
£31 per night with 10 amp, there’s far cheaper with far better amenities at the moment, needs to realise people won’t pay just cus it’s next to a beach

Loved Beach walk.
Site next to beach through a coded gate. 40 minutes from Rhyl even though a thunder ⛈ storm was lovely.
Toilets 🚻 were very clean. Shower rooms were bigger than normal, push button taps. Tumble dryer £2 token from reception. Toilet waste next to Shower block.
Grey Waste also there but you will need a bucket to transport it to grid.
Never used bar or bowling ally.
Pitch I used had EHU and water. Hardstanding.

First visit to the site with the trailer tent, dogs and a baby. Nice clean tidy site, works in progress to extend the site.
Toilets and washing up areas clean and tidy with accessible shower, though if you use a wheelchair or crutches to mobilise, I would pitch near the solid surfaces road area as the gravel roads would possibly be difficult to travel on by those with mobility problems.
Pitches are sufficiently large enough with own water pipe, key from reception on booking in, well managed, with warden checking pitches after visitors have vacated area to make sure ok for next visitors.
Very dog friendly site, dogs on leads at all times as per the signs all round the site, though there are some who flaunt this rule, making it difficult for those of us with nervous/reactive dogs, it’s very near to a dog friendly beach. Wardens patrol the beach area ensuring dogs kept on leads in some areas, which were not clearly signposted.
We didn’t use any of the site facilities like the bowling or club so cannot comment on those aspects

Just a large car park still, lacks character warmth and vision, Reception area very dark dismal and unwelcoming.
Could only find one shower block with just 2 toilets in men’s serving the whole site, the block itself is constantly smelly, and needs venting/updating or making bigger.
But the main issue is the 2. 00pm arrival point, why? 15 years of caravanning only site I know of this rule? Seems rather odd with no logical reason behind it? Which when travelling a long way like us told to wait
In carpark in the red hot sun even though camp site mostly empty and had reserved our pitch in 2021? Also told to be off site on departure day by 11. 00am
Parked our car opposite side to given plan due to over grown protruding bushes, told to move it back, reason fire hazard? Excuse me but what about all the motor homes on site parked on the grass?
Good points I suppose is: Close to beach/promenade. Half an hour walk into town.
Used the pub over the road The Ffrith which was reasonable priced & food looked nice.

We chose a spot near to the beach gate, big enough plot for caravan, awning and room to sit out on the grass, but had to move the car onto a bay as not allowed to have them in front of the caravan but wasn't a problem,
went into the clubhouse for a pint, very friendly staff, no shop on site so had to walk quite a way for milk and stuff, was told not far but it is quite a walk if you got heavy bags, was hoping to go back with family but no tents allowed.
Toilets and showers ok and kept clean until the day before we left, the week leading up to the bank holiday when it got busier with familys but staff still did their best.
Very central very visiting other areas.
No food on site unless you like fast food but there is a pub over the road,

Quiet, well managed site with good access direct to the tidal beach and promenade walk.
Facilities good. Location just right for exploring the north east of Wales.
Excellent for dog owners as there are accessible dunes adjacent to the site also.

Appears that the site is fairly new, we had a large pitch with EHU and a water tap. Clean and tidy site. Good location as very close to the beach.
Can't comment on shower/wc facilities as they were closed due to Covid. We wanted to stay on for an extra night but the reception does not open until 2pm (we had to leave by 11am) and could not get through to anyone on the phone!
The website will not let you book as it asks for at least one day in advance which was very disappointing for us.
We would stay again.
