 A lovely site deep in the Suffolk countryside, surrounded by fields where we were able to exercise our dog off lead. Access is via country lanes, but plenty wide enough for our 7m caravan, so no access difficulties.
Site Facilities are limited, but fine for an Adults Only site. Power and water supplies are fine, as are the toilet and shower rooms, which are kept nice and clean. Fresh Eggs (own hens) and Apples available. Plenty of level ground to choose from for the van.
Sue, the owner, is very friendly and helpful.
Location is excellent being not far from Stowmarket, Sudbury, Ipswich, Long Melford, Glemsford, Bury S. Edmunds (well worth a visit), as it the little villge of Kersey. Even Frinton-on-Sea, and Cambridge are within reach for a day out - as well as other places we didn't get to, despite having extended our stay.
Would we go back? Very definitely YES.

Lovely site. Huge well kept field with lots of choice for pitches. Owner had lots of leads if needed for hook up.
Great area for cycling with lots of pretty villages.
Good shower and toilet facilities. With a duck pond.
£16 per night.
No pub in walking distance.

Rural site on farmland with basic but clean facility. Very affordable rates and friendly helpful host.
Some aircraft and bird scare noise but overall quiet enough and traffic free.
Lovely black Labrador and ginger Tom, geese, ducks and chickens roam free. Farmhouse looks a real treat for BnB.

A lot of care and consideration has gone into Stanstead Hall, resulting in a superb CL. It is located 400m off a quiet road amongst arable farmland, as a consequence it enjoys seclusion and (subject to the operation of agricultural machinery or grass mowing, which must happen occasionally) the only sounds you will hear will be natural.
CL pitching area is very large plus a separate rally area. Pitching is informal. Area is level; has hard standing or grass pitches; ponds; decorative tree planting; picnic tables; a BBQ; is well sheltered and has a well prepared surface. You are bound to be visited by the chickens, ducks, geese or the owners black Labrador.
Free WiFi, EHU extension leads and battery jumper leads are available should you need them. Cell phone signal (O2) was strong.
Water, chem disposal, WC and shower (free) facilities are directly adjacent to pitching area and are very good in CL terms. Only formaldehyde free toilet chem is to be used; but no problem, it is provided.
Very dog friendly. (No charge) Numerous walks directly from the pitching area.
Nearest local shop is Hitcham PO & Stores. (Approx 3 miles)
A personal recommendation: Try the Crown at Buxhall where everything is homemade. (Main courses typically £15 - £20)
To sum up: There is everything to like about Stanstead Hall. One of the best CLs I've had the pleasure of using.
