 This was our 2nd visit and we're remiss not to have added this site sooner as it's fabulous (previously visited in 2012)
It's very quiet, located about 3km outside the village, up a good road, flanked on two sides by wooded mountainsides and open views North and South
> motorhome/caravan pitches are of ample size with a mixture of grass/hardstandings and sunny/shady; EHU on all pitches, we think
> there are a few seasonals, but they in no way dominate the site or spoil the ambience
> variety of grass pitches on side 'terraces' and on the large green at the front of the site (no EHU there, but idyllic riverside location)
> toilets and showers are clean and ample for the size of site
> free hot water for showers and washing up
> washing machine and dryer available
> friendly office staff
> maps, postcards and some basics for sale in the office, bread and refreshments for sale at the kiosk at the site entrance
> plenty of fabulous walking trails either directly from the site or within a short drive. If you enjoy traditional food you can hike to several Ferme Auberges in time for lunch, fantastic quality and prices and usually amazing views
> we cycled 6 km to the evening Myrtilles Festival in Metzeral in Aug 2012 - nice quiet road, though uphill home from Mittlach village!
> we cycled 12 km along a lovely cycle route to Munster last year; the route continues to Colmar, 30 km away, which has a beautiful 'old town'
> plenty of vineyards in the valley (the Alsace Wine Route runs N to S just west of Colmar)
