We decided to try this site out on our way home, rather than staying at Chateau Gandspette.
The site is on the edge of the village of Watten and is predominantly a static site with about ten touring pitches.
The site has an electronic barrier but there seemed to be plenty of people around with fobs to let us in. The manager doesn't speak English but we managed to understand each other.
The touring pitches are just inside the gate and are all a decent size. One thing this site has over Gandspette is that the pitches are all flat. They all have European electric points.
The shower block is clean but the plumbing does leave a lot to be desired! We were warned that the shower in the ladies half of the building made a dreadful banging noise when in use. The wash basins and dishwashing sinks only have cold water.
Price wise it is a lot cheaper than Gandspette, even taking into account the fact that tokens are needed for the showers.
It is an easy five minute walk into the village where there are a number of bars, restaurants and shops.
For an overnight stop before the ferry it's passable but if we stay here again we will use our own facilities.
