This site is a wonderful place to stay. We were here for 2 weeks and did not want to leave. The pitches are very spacious and have hedging and trees to make them feel like you own little piece of paradise. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful - even during the booking process on line. The showers, toilets and facilities are brand new, spacious and very clean. Free good hot showers. We ate in the restaurant a few times and the food is delicious, freshly prepared and varies each day. Siting outside in the peaceful surroundings at night time having a meal and drinks with friends could not be better. The countryside is beautiful and the main town of La Chatre is charming and has everything you could want. All the usual supermarkets etc. There are also new wooden pods which seem quite large with balconies overlooking the river valley. There is a new swimming pool and small splash pool and plenty of play areas for children. Even if we do not take the caravan back we will certainly be back to eat in the restaurant. The only negative is that some other people in campsites - of any nationality - seem to forget other people are there and can be noisy and of course there is always a door banger or two!
