We really enjoyed the location of this campsite as the back gate leads to the lake beach, cafe, restaurants and walkway to the town. It takes less than 15 minutes to stroll into the lively town.
The toilets/showers were kept very clean and there were plenty of them. Water hot, loo roll and soap available.
The pitches were a reasonable size and flat. Only the front two rows/ terraces have a lake view while a few other pitches have a view depending on how other campers are parked - if caravans and motorhomes are parked across the pitch it leaves almost no view but we were lucky enough to have a good view for four of our six nights.
The pool is lovely and there is a very pleasant bar opposite to sit and enjoy a snack, beer or coffee. The shop sells cold meat, cheese, milk, crisps, bread etc but no fresh fruit, veg or uncooked meat.
We walked to the Lidls which took an hour for a return trip including time to shop. There does not appear to be any useful shops in the town centre but plenty of restaurants, bars and clothes shops. I was pleasantly surprised at the average cost of a pizza - around 7-8 euros and an Aperol Spritz 6 euros, while two coffees were around 4 euros. A lot cheaper than France.
The site was very busy when we were there. On arrival only about 50% of pitches full but by the next day (a Friday) the site was almost full. It is the German school holidays at the end of May and the site was filled with families.
A site we had tried to get into on lake Iseo for the weekend had no availability so we booked this one ahead by email. It is very expensive, costing 7. 50 euros for a dog and altogether around 50 euros per day for two adults and dog.
We had also not been able to use the ACSI site camping Serenella in Bardolino as it does not accept dogs.
We ended up here by default really but were relatively happy with our choice.

We booked this site in May and only just a managed to get a pitch as its a very popular area. We were put on the new part of the site which used to be the sports field and were pre warned that there was no shade. The rest of the site was very shady, it was extremely hot when we were there but we managed anyone with air con would be fine. Our pitch was larger than most and had a view of the lake until others parked their cars in front, they didn't have much choice as there wasn't a lot of spare space.
The site is mainly used by Italians, French, Germans and Dutch, there were not many English. We got on really well with our Dutch neighbours who spoke good English.
The site has a lovely pool area, very clean with artificial grass surround. There were plenty of sun beds and there was always a lifeguard on duty. The pool is closed from 1-3 each day.
There is a shop and bar open all day and evening. The shop sells basics and we did rely on it due to the weather being so hot that walking to Lidls was impossible, we don't move our motorhome once on site but if you have transport it would be easy to get to Lidls. We used the restaurant on site almost every night mainly having takeaways. The portions were generous and we found that one spaghetti bolognaise was enough for two of us with bread and salad. The pizzas were good value at €8 and again large enough to share.
We were about the furthest away from a toilet block but are happy to use our own facilities so not a problem, the nearest block to us was busy as it is nearest to the pool and bar. I found it best to walk to the block nearest the chalets to have a shower as it was much quieter, I never had to queue. The showers are basic but clean at all times with controllable temperatures and a strong jet of water, although they are push button the water lasts a reasonable length of time each time you push it.
Quite bizarrely one night a coach arrived and parked near us, the occupants ( girls aged about 14/15) all sat on the grass, ate pizza then lay down on the grass and slept there all night. Nobody seemed to think this was odd and they didn't make any noise then left about 7am.
The staff all spoke English, the blond lady (Sabine?) was particularly friendly and pleasant. She soon recognised us each day and knew what we were going to order at the bar.
There is free wifi at the bar.
We went to Venice for a day by train which was easy, we booked in advance on line and would advise this as when we got to the station someone else was told the ticket would be €84 as they only had 1st class left. We went on Saturday because the tickets are 2 for the price of 1 on Saturdays. We paid €45 for both of us. We walked to and from the station. We bought a day ticket in Venice for the boats and got our money's worth travelling around all day.
We took a boat trip on Lake Garda which cost us €20 each, not such good value as Vencie but still enjoyable.
If we return to Lake Garda we will stay at this site again, it's much smaller and quieter than neighbouring Bella Italia but that suits us better.

Very nice site, much nicer than the behemoth Bella Italia next door, and very cheerful and helpful owners; there was always someone who could speak English available in reception.
Good location, right on the edge of Lake Garda near Peschiera Del Garda. It is a pleasant 15 min walk along the lake into town, there is a more direct 10 min route as well. It is convenient for the ferries that run on the lake, and Peschiera is one of the main stops for those - Sirmione is about 20 mins ferry away while Malcesine is over 2 hours. The ferry terminal is on the same side of town as the campsite, as is the large market every Monday. There are Lidl and Simply supermarkets beside each other 1km away towards the motorway.
It is a longer 2km walk to Peschiera train station where you can get regular trains to Verona (30 mins), Milan and Venice (both 90 mins). With the proximity to ferries, rail and Verona airport, it is possible to fly here and use public transport everywhere plus taxis to the supermarkets. In addition coach excursions can booked from reception.
It is less than 5km to Gardaland (there is a free bus from town) and other theme parks, you can see the rides from the site across the lake.
Good amenities on site - a small shop, bread each morning, a functional bar area with wifi, a good pool with lots of recliners, at least 3 (clean) toilet blocks and a good selection of pitch types (open / shaded, lake views / near amenities, etc). Pitches are small-ish but not as small as most Italian sites.
There is an excellent restaurant near the lake which is used by lots of people outside the site, and also serves takeaways. 2 pizza or pasta dishes for 15-20 euro. The bar area also sells cheap lunchtime panini. There are a few other restaurants, sandwich / delis and a chemist in the area too.
A nice mix of visitors on site too, mostly Belgian and Italian, not many from the UK. A nice relaxed site. This is not a cheap area though, so a pitch in July / August will be over 40 euro.
The mobile home we stayed in was aging but was clean and comfortable enough, plus it had excellent air conditioning. Our Belgian neighbours had been there each year for the last decade which is a good sign of high standards.
Any issues ? The wifi could fail often, and you can sometimes hear the Italian equivalent of 'Hi di hi campers' being boomed out from the speakers on Bella Italia. There were a lot of biting mozzies, but then 2016 seemed to be a bad year everywhere for those. Thats about it. Would return again and hopefully will.
