We've been going here on and off for donkey's years. The Pays des Abers is one of our favourite bits of France and this is one of our favourite sites.

It's all quite basic though they've abandoned the jetons for showers and added a bit of a cafe/bar/shop. The food is saucisse frites and similar but was very welcome after our rain-drenched trip to Ouessant.

Showers, loos etc are basic but kept spick and span and there's ample hot water.

Pitches are in groups of four to six with each of these areas separated by banks and hedges. There's a good mix of shady and sunny spots to suit your preference.

There's a children's play area and a family of mini-goats as entertainment.

It's an easy walk into Lanildut itself which has a bar/restaurant, creperie and a small shop or two. You can catch a boat to Ouessant for the day. If you do then book a restaurant for lunch (the campsite will help with this), we didn't and ended up eating a ham sandwich in a bus shelter. There's also a surprisingly interesting museum dedicated to the seaweed harvesting industry.
