 I had intended to stay at the Nantes Municipal; but as it was a public holiday weekend, with nice weather, it was full. They kindly sent me on to this site: in the process of being renamed Pause Loire. You find references to both names.
Doesn’t do ACSI, but does a slew of other camping clubs, including C&CC, for whom they act as à stopover site. This got me 15% off; so, much cheaper than my original.
It’s much further out, but reception kindly photocopied travel instructions: walk to bus stop, bus to interchange, tram to centre.
I’d equipped myself with a Nantes Pass, extensive free transport plus entry to major attractions. It’s a buzzy city, lots of public art, especially the Machines de l’Île.
The site is a typical French site, quite mature and woody, a short walk from the Loire towpath/ cycle route into the city. Staff very friendly an helpful.

We stayed with you so that we could watch the Ireland Tonga Rugby game in Nantes.
It was a lovely clean campsite with an easy route into the city by the bus and train. We ordered our Croissants from the shop each morning which were delicious.
The staff were helpful and friendly and their English was far better than our French!
We loved the location and the walking/cycling by the Loire and would come back again.
Highly recommend.

Another old but well-cared for site. Excellent topiary on the hedges between generously-sized pitches. The cafe/shop sells the basics and swaps frozen bottles of water for those of us without ehu. Bread can be ordered. Food vans some evenings. Supermarket nearby.
There's a nice play area for children and direct access to riverside walks/cycling. Wifi at the cafe/accueil.
A five minute walk to public transport into the centre of Nantes.
The approach to this site looks a bit unpromising but once installed it's a lovely place to stay. Nice and quiet whilst still handy for Nantes itself. Lots of mature trees for shade and plenty of water points. The staff were very helpful with any inquiries we had.
