Clearly signposted with easy access to site. Run by a Brazilian couple who couldn’t have been more helpful, even when it came to looking into the availability of fresh milk from a local farmer! There was no hesitation in their trying to help us and to make our stay an absolute pleasure.
As we have a large twin axle caravan we contacted them prior to arriving in order to reserve a suitable pitch. The pitch they had provisionally selected was having work done nearby when we arrived and we therefore chose an adjacent, large pitch (No 12) which was not only suitable for our caravan, large awning and car but also had space available to sit outside and relax. Both pitches had the benefit of both sun and shade – all individual pitches are large and separated by hedges. Electric is 10 amp with continental (i. E. 2 pin) connection.
The site has free WiFi although reception at times was poor. However there is a local, free Public WiFi with very good signal strength. Bread can be ordered at reception, there is a small restaurant, pizzas are cooked in an outside oven at weekends. There is also tourist information leaflets / maps etc. In reception. Accepts ACSI discount card giving reduced site fees (Except during high season). The site is very popular with German / Belgian and Dutch motorhomes / caravans – we were the only British caravan during our 2-week stay (May 2018).
Toilets, showers and dishwashing facilities are in a separate building next to reception up a short flight of stairs. Chemical disposal is also on the same level in this building. Some paths have a rough, stone surface with the potential to split a toilet cassette being wheeled to the chemical disposal for emptying – we know as this unfortunately happened to us on our last day!
There is an excellent, modern open air swimming pool adjacent to the site where access is free to campsite users. There is also an indoor swimming pool in a separate, modern building which is also adjacent to the site, with access at discount rates at certain times of the day for all campsite users.
Within a 15 minute drive are 2 large retail complexes which both contain large supermarkets (Where fresh semi skimmed milk can be purchased!). There are also numerous petrol stations locally – apparently diesel and petrol is cheaper in Luxembourg than anywhere else in Europe.
The main attraction for many (including us) are the excellent cycle and walking routes including the long-distance Vennbahn cycle path (Troisvierges – Aachen). The area around Troisvierges is both farming and wooded where eagles are sighted daily.
In conclusion this is a campsite that we would thoroughly recommend to anyone contemplating a visit to north Luxembourg. The owners go out of their way to make your stay a stay to remember.

Stayed on this campsite for 4 nights whilst touring Luxembourg. €15 per night for EHU using ACSI card and no taxes 😄
- good showers & toilets on 1st floor of a round building! Always spotlessly clean
- strange dishwashing facilities - one for women & one for men in respective shower section!
- free wifi
- can order bread for next morning
- short walk to station for train to Luxembourg. Just over an hour's journey and €4 per adult return - train frequent and spotless
- you can purchase small map of walks in area from Tourist Office.
- we took train to Clervaux - beautiful place and worthy of spending morning there but our intention was to walk back to Troisvergies on the Sentier Nord - beautiful walk - so didn't really linger. All walks in area are well signposted.
