We often visit this CL and find it to be very well managed by Len the owner.
Len lives on site now and spends a lot of time looking after the grounds keeping them immaculate. You really could be anywhere.
The road is not what I’d call busy but it’s subjective I suppose.
The area offers plenty of things to do including the antiques building at Battlesbridge and the many pubs and restaurants locally.
Len is happy for kids to play on the big grassed area for a game of football etc. We love Len as an owner and the place as a CL.
Well done mate for making such a nice sanctuary for us all.

Lower Road, on which Tower Field is located is a busy, fairly narrow road. However, the traffic noise hardly reaches the pitching area. Entrance gate has combination lock, so you will need a torch when dark. Track to pitching area is lined with chestnut trees - conkers by the 100!
Designated pitching area, (which is part of a much larger field), measures very approx 50m x 30m, is dead flat & surface is immaculately prepared. Some pitches are overhung by tall trees, so better to set up a little forward to avoid tree debris from falling on your ‘van. EHU is 10A with no access to reset the circuit breaker if you get a trip. So careful management of your electrical load is advisable.
Water & chem disposal are conveniently located adjacent to pitching area.
Dog friendly - no charge. Owner firm about keeping on lead. You can walk your pet round the field or along the byway next to the site or a little further on, down to the river. However, I must admit that even the short distance required on the busy road to access the byway without a footpath felt a little uncomfortable.
Nearest convenience store: Budgens, ½ mile.
To sum up: A good basic CL.
