Lovely little site. A certain amount of noise from the adjacent road but that can't be helped. Otherwise a nice location. The site is very level - good when you're in a tent! Due to work commitments we had to visit during school holidays & on a weekend. Looking forward to returning at a less busy time!
Nice big pitches mean you're not on top of everyone else; pitches clearly marked too. In fact everything is clearly marked - drinking/non-drinking water, recycling/rubbish bins etc. Information hut has lots of leaflets of things to do plus printed sheets with local walks of differing lengths, also information on local pubs - can recommend the 'Cock' and the 'Reedcutter'. In the hut is a freezer for icepacks - brilliant.
The toilets/showers really are as good as everyone says they are, too. Also Mark, the owner, really is as helpful as everyone says; nice to have prompt answers to email queries & genuine help with your arrangements.

Absolutely lovely campsite, simply cannot fault at all. Mark the owner certainly seems to have done his homework and got everything spot on. Lovely spotless showers/toilets, and proper cubicles not the usual shower curtains. Pitches were great, really large and well spaced out. Great having the freezer for ice packs, especially given the extremely hot weather we had. Also good having the mobile charging points and plenty of information about the area. We had a fantastic week and will definitely return. Perfect site and really lovely genuine owners! I would urge anyone to give this one a try you will not be disappointed!

We have just returned from a three night stay at Homefields. We had a lovely time. The site owner was very helpful and friendly, and he kept the facilities spotlessly clean. The camping field was a good size and mostly flat. The pitches were big, and you could chose where you wanted to pitch up. The facilities were new and consisted of four toilets/washrooms, of which two also had showers. There was a sink for washing up pots etc, and a little shed that contained useful leaflets and details on local attractions and walks. The owner also gave us some useful information on the local area. A superb site, would highly recommend.
