Stayed here in the middle of September. Foolishly we hadn't booked thinking we could easily get a pitch. We were offered 3 very uneven ones in the woods and 1 on the beachside near the road.
We took the road and chose to wear earplugs. The location for the beach is FANTASTIC, and I'm glad we didn't choose the other pitches.
Would I come back. Definitely. But would prebook next time. We paid 40E per night (including 6Amp EHU)

Back to Camping de la Plage after a 3 year break and everything in our previous reviews still stand.
The main difference for our stay this time was that it was very busy and the wooded part of the site on the other side of the D559 was open. This is where we located for our stay, so the following applies only to this side of the site.
Initially we were not keen, but it grew on us and in the end we preferred this side to the beach side. It is quieter and less crammed in especially when it is this busy. We counted 4 facilities blocks, all were open, and one looked as if it had been recently refurbished. The only downside to this area is it can be a bit of a challenge on some of the pitches to get your outfit level.
There are plenty of chemical disposal points and two motorhome service points. As with the beach side you can choose 6, 10 or 16 amps and the staff come round and insert the relevant fuse you have paid for. It was all very efficiently run despite it being very busy.
Right outside the site on the beach side is an excellent cycle path which goes to St Maxime in one direction and St Tropez in the other. There are some fantastic views of the Bay of St Tropez.
In summary we thoroughly enjoyed our week here, very relaxing, great location, good pitches, great staff, supermarket and a fantastic restaurant. Both the Supermarket and the restaurant are on the beach side of the site and this side is accessed by a foot tunnel under the main road.
We will definitely return and would have no problem staying on the wooded side.

This is an update to our review below from September 2016.
The central sanitary block has been refurbished so looks a lot better.
The electricity has been upgraded with more hook ups and increased amps. Therefore you will probably not need a second cable. As for the amps you can now chose 6, 10 or 16 depending on your requirements you just pay extra the more you want. The staff come round and insert the relevant fuse you have paid for as before.
Finally we thought the supermarket was better stocking a lot more products.
Everything else in our previous review still applies. We will definitely visit this site again at some point in the future.

We spent a week here during our 7 week tour of France. Access was straightforward as the site is directly off the D559 (formerly the N98) in St. Pons Les Mures, There are several campsites next to each other along this road but if you miss it from either direction go down to the next round-a-about and back again.
The site is split in two halves being either side of the road however when we visited only the beach side of the site was open so we cannot comment on the other side. The reception was located just inside the entrance and there is plenty of place to park up behind it. Booking in was easy even though we had not pre-booked, we were given a map of empty pitches and we had a look round and were allocated our the pitch of first choice. There are a few pitches directly on the beach but these are always fully pre-booked.
The pitches have 6-10 amp electric hook ups but it should be noted that some are a long way from the pitch (we had to use two 25 metre cables to reach ours)! They will lend you a cable if you cannot reach the plug however. Further to this the site warden comes round and switches on the electric for you inserting a fuse to cover the amps you have paid for.
There are not many water taps around the site so most people tend to use the one at the Motorhome Disposal Point, they could do with some more. On the beach side there are 2 showers blocks which although a bit dated are kept clean. On site there is a Supermarket and a very good restaurant with views over the Bay of St. Tropez.
Location, Location, Location! The best thing about this site. You can walk (20 mins) into Port Grimaud which is a lovely place with excellent restaurants and ice cream parlours. From there you can get a ferry to St. Tropez or a land tourist train up to the village of Grimaud. There is an off road cycle route right outside the camp site with St. Tropez in one direction and St. Maxime in the other. Then there is the beach of course. Security is an issue in this part of France so lock up your bike even on the camp site.
In summary we thoroughly enjoyed our week here, very relaxing, great location, good pitches great staff, fantastic restaurant. Ok it is a bit expensive and there are a few negatives but we were not bothered by this as the positives in our view far outweigh the negatives and we would thoroughly recommend this site. We are planning to go back in 2017.
