Large site large pitches lovely pool area for children, well laid out site.

If very busy don't think shower block would have coped.

As this was in the middle of the covid19 outbreak did not think the precautions were very good.

Would not stay again.

I would think for most people, particularly families with young children, this would be an excellent site. It just didn't work for us, a retired couple. Facilities and services on site are very good - the pool looks super, with a couple of slides, and was always busy - but for us this meant a lot of noise, sometimes till quiet late into the evening (this was understandable in high season). Sanitaires were good - clean and plentiful (two blocks).

Pitches are quite big, but access with large outfits is very tight indeed. We could not have managed without a mover. Although the pitches are hedged, you may find your caravan or tent is just a few inches from your neighbour on the other side of the hedge. (Not untypical of Contintental sites).

There is a very small shop, with bread baked on site so no need to order beforehand. For bigger shopping needs there are a couple of supermarkets in Tarascon.

Off-site activities in the area are brilliant - hiking, via ferrata (at Vicdessos, a few miles along the valley - recommended) and numerous amazing caves to visit (including Niaux cave nearby which has wow-factor cave paintings). Andorrra is not far away if you really must satisfy your consumer urges.

The site has wifi to all pitches - but it is very expensive. We couldn't get a mobile signal on site, but was available along the main road. There is a basic pizzeria-type restaurant on site, and a rather pricey auberge in Niaux, a short walk away.

Our conclusion was that the there are much nicer (by our taste) sites further along the valley, such as Camping Bexanelle at Vicdessos.

Be aware that Tarascon is a major bottle neck on the route to Andorra and there may be delays at peak times, with tailbacks far up the main road to Foix.

We left earlier than booked, but were not charged for our unused dates.
