 Not to be confused with Camping Playa Poliente next door.
Used as an overnight stop. Friendly welcome at the pleasant compact site with all facilities including a pool across the road from a long promenade that runs beside a beach of sorts.
There’s a bus stop from 100m away with a reasonably regular service to Motril though we didn’t use it.
Free 30 minutes of good wifi a day.
Really liked the lay out and peacefulness of the site.

There are two sites adjacent to the beach, a very large one and this one which is a fairly small (45 pitches) family run site. Pitches are down two side with a stretch in the middle which alternates between pitches and turning areas.
Pitches are generously sized, all with ehu. There are a lot of tree branches overhanging which may cause problems getting on and off pitches for very large units (the sign on the gate says max 8 metres max).
Loos and showers - old but functional and always well cleaned. Wifi worked across the site, charged at €1 a day. The owner and his family were always around and very helpful, they have a small restaurant on site and arrange for a daily bread delivery.
Its a 5-10 minute walk to the shopping area, just a few shops and cafes as the main town of Motril is a couple of km inland.
The beach was quiet at this time of year, a lovely promenade runs the length with a few cafes open.
We used this site for a couple of nights, really impressed with finding a small and very well run site among the many larger commercial sites along the coast. For us, it was great and we would visit again when in the area
