 Beyond dreadful!
This campsite heaves with activity night and day--unsurprising, given its now 1000+ pitches. Since the campsite's beach is a 2 metre wide strip of gravel (dumped along a rocky shoreline) the level of crowding on a sunny day makes Brighton on a hot bank holiday look deserted.
The facilities are all modern and clean--but there is nothing that can compensate for the constant noise. On our trip, this sometimes started at 6am when the site's JCB heaved itself along the 'beach' straightening out and flattening the gravel. Awful pop music erupted from loud speakers at random intervals in the day to accompany various 'fun' activities--but the evenings were by far the worst. Dubious, loudly amplified 'live' acts (muzak) or the sort of music that my 31 year old daughters remembered from late primary school discos. This stuff was even clearly audible from the neighbouring campsite to which we moved and ground on until 11pm at night.
Spare yourself a lot of grief and save a lot of money. There are loads of alternative sites in that area.

Lovely campsite located right on the beach. It is a huge site, but everything is easily accessible and somehow doesn't feel overcrowded, even in August/peak season when we were there. We were on a 'super pitch' with EHU, water and drainage. There is a big fresh water pool, very long beach-front, restaurants/bars and takeaways.
There are toilet/shower blocks around the site which could get busy at peak times but were always clean. There are also dishwashing and laundry facilities available which we didn't use.
There is a well-stocked supermarket on site which is open all day and didn't seem to get too busy (other sites we have used abroad have restricted opening hours and therefore long queues when they are open).
In the sea there is a dedicated dog swimming area and also a big inflatable assault course - great for older kids. There are also pedalos for hire and water sports available.
Rovinj itself is a beautiful town with lots to see and boat-trips to go on. There are many other towns to visit and also local caves etc so plenty to see and do.
We liked it so much that we are going back in Aug 2017 - I understand the site has been 'refurbished' and all pitches now have water and drainage and the pool area has been redesigned. We are looking forward to seeing the changes.
Croatia itself is beautiful and great value for money. We tour there via France, Belgium, Germany, Austria and Slovenia - we have two young children and it is a great adventure.
