 The site is about 10-15 minutes inland from the Portugal / Spain border crossing on the coast. Set off a very quiet road, with the front pitches having some great views over the baragem.
The site is set into 2 area each side of the bar / restaurant. Each pitch has ehu and there is a water empty, fill and a chem disposal behind the bar. No loos or showers on site.
When we were there is was full but the owner still allowed extra vehicles on, we were then plugged with another vehicles into 1 ehu, giving less than 2 amps - we gave up and unplugged as we tripped by just having the fridge on.
There was free wifi on site, great signal. There is also a washing machine and drying area. The bar was open in the evening, not sure the restaurant opens at all in winter.
The owner himself was very helpful and willing to sort out any problems. When we told him of electric problem he was fine and said woulod charge for non electric rates.
This is a great area to explore, Alcoutim is well worth visitng with cobbled streets and bars and stunning views over the river (border) to Spain. We paid €4. 50 without electric but with wifi, would use again and hopefully they will have sorted the electrics.
