Excellent site to visit Granada. Bus stops at entrance €1. 55 with a frequent service. Pitches are gravel and level.
Very clean shower and toilets. Can recommend the restaurant serving local dishes.
The shop is small but covers most needs.
It's easy to find up a wide road with many hairpins, the views are spectacular with the hills snow covered.
It's a nice walk up the road opposite to the village and enjoy beers and tapas. You nay also meet a goat herd or two.
We used 3 C&MH club vouchers from last year, otherwise it would cost €29 they have a ACSI sign on display, but it's not accepted.

Unbelievably easy to get to the Alhambra from the site, even in a motorhome.
Restaurant on site although dogs not allowed inside. Small shop selling a few basics and slightly more. Laundry facilities.
The shower area was heated which in March was a real bonus.
Very helpful personnel particularly on the reception desk.
Reasonable size pitches with hedges in between.
The bonus for us was the very quiet road across the road from the site. Four of us and a large dog walked up it to the village and back. During our walk we met 3 cars, 2 goat herds and a man on horseback. Wonderful.
In the village we stopped at the bar and had beers and a tapas which was delicious.

With a double axle 8m caravan we were able to get to the upper pitches (80-91) that have the magnificent views, but with a big van you need to be very careful, as site roads are narrow. All surfaces are compacted grit on top of rock and are reasonably level.
Power is 10A and threaded water taps are intermittently dispersed. Small shop ok for bread & essentials. We didn't use the restaurant, but it looked good and was full with locals on Sunday.
Low season price was 28 euros with electric, which we thought was expensive for low season. Toilets are good & clean with heated shower room. This site is now one of the RED chain of sites, hence the price.
As an addendum to our review it's worth noting that only the upper pitches (80-91) are big enough for a double axle van and are on a small plateau.
The lower pitches are much too small for a double axle van and are on either side of a steep road, like ribs coming off your spine. Such a van would never make the turn into the pitch even with movers and would ground.

A wonderful site for Granada as the previous reviewer has said. There is a frequent bus service from the site entrance and I would recommend pitches 85 for motorhome and 91 for caravan to his recommendations. All the pitches are hedged and have plenty of trees. The shop even in November was well stocked and the reception girls are delightful, friendly and helpful in the extreme.
We stayed for two weeks but several visitors left before they intended as they could not cope with the barking dogs off site who tended to bark most of the night and a lot of the day. This is such a shame as otherwise I would give the site 10/10.

Twenty to thirty minutes from Granada, this is a first class campsite with an excellent restaurant.
Some 91 pitches (parcelas), mostly of generous size, and mostly with a built sink/drainer with running water on each pitch, as well as EHU.
Some of the pitches have spectacular views across the valley and damed river/lake. The best on site, if you can get them, are 71 and 72. We were lucky, finding 71 free when we arrived without booking. There were plenty of other pitches.
A good pool with grassy surrounds, another mowed grass area (sort of green beach) for lazing, with views across the valley. Children's play area. Mini golf. Good ablutions. Very friendly and helpful staff. And an excellent restaurant and bar area, both indoor and outdoor. Where you need to go for wi-fi (free).
A very relaxing site when you are not out and about. We stayed for 10 days.
Things to do and see:
Number one has to be Granada and the extraordinary Alhambra. Book your tickets online and print them out at a large selection of ATM's! Never used an ATM for this. It worked first time at the first one I visited!
Pinos Genil. A bit further down the valley, on the way to Granada, offers a variety of bars and eateries, and is a pleasant wander on a warm evening.
A 'must' drive is to the Alpujaras region. About an hour and a half. First target being the small town of Lanjaron (some really good walks in the Sierra Nevada from here. Check the tourist office). Then up to the famous white painted villages clinging the the Sierra Nevada mountain sides: Pampaneira, Bubion and Capileira, being three that will give you the full flavour of wandering the steep narrow paths and streets. Plenty of eateries and tourist parts, as well as the original feel of the places off the beaten track.
Altogether a wonderful time here. Would recommend to anyone coming this far south, and wanting to escape the turmoil of coastal Adalucia.
