This is a large site. The majority of the space is taken by static caravans.

The toilet block was large with plenty of clean toilets and showers. You use a prepaid tag for hot water.

The place is not personal and it lacks atmosphere but it has lots of facilities. The local area is beautiful and it is great for family cycling.

Camping pitches are spacious and serviced. We were guided to our pitch on a large grass area. The ground is very hard and compacted. We needed our rock pegs. We had a storm one afternoon and the water just ran down the field. We were walking in 5cm of water but it flowed through the tents at the top end (by the toilet block ) and created big puddles at the bottom. I was pleased to be at the top of the field.

The lake is great for swimming. Lots of people visit for the day but it's so huge that there's enough space for everyone. The flumes are fun too.

We stayed here for one night on the way home from Germany. It's a large site mainly given over to statics and seasonal pitches. At the time of our arrival the site was very quiet with only one or two other tourers there.

As we were only staying overnight we were told we could park wherever we wanted on a large grassy area, so cannot comment on pitch size. The site is set around a lake which is used for swimming and has slides etc.

Facilities where clean and warm with a card for hot water. Cannot comment on the surrounding area but would visit again
