Lovely friendly staff.

Lovely aspect by the Thames and great pub over the bridge.
Recommended.
Some nice walks along the Thames in either direction

This is in a lovely position as surrounded by water with fantastic riverside walks and access to the water for SUP’s etc.
The shower and toilet facilities are basic but very clean, the pot wash is only one small sink and no hot water. No EHU so you need to be able to fend for yourself properly
Shop and reception is lovely, it’s an old pillbox, with some useful equipment and basics.
Dog friendly site and pub opposite so perfect for a beer but the bar food is very limited albeit good, as was the service. Pizza shack (and takeaway)on pub site too but only weekends I think?
You can rent a canoe or sup too.
A mix of site staff appeared and overall this is a lovely place that personally, I hope doesn’t change too much!
Be careful with small kids as the river is very close and no swings etc, so you’ll have to make time and play with them!

This is camping at it's most basic. No ehu or marked pitches and the toilets are limited and are portaloos.
There are also showers It's a very busy lively site with groups of young people and families. Having said all that we loved this site.
Location is on an Island within the River Thames 2 mins walk from a pub with live outdoor music the night we were there. Great for watching the boats and paddle boards go by.
There is a small shop selling essentials.
