This was our 2nd year running at this site & we have already selected and booked our pitch for next year.
The staff can not be faulted for helpfulness, politeness and a good laugh.
A new welcome addition is a well stocked online shop not charging over the odds on essentials (like beer & wine!) So you don't need to do a big shop in Newquay the day you arrive.
I understand the comments about the shower block being dated, it is but was clean and functional the whole time we were there. Bear in mind every campsite were decimated for income for 18 months due to covid. I would hope a new shower block would be on the cards soon but it certainly didn't spoil our stay.
The View is a slightly more relaxed site and has views all the way to Newquay.
The footpath through The View was closed off this time for covid reasons, hopefully that will be a permanent move?
We had no issues with other campers, I found it to be a very friendly site for both staff and people staying.
The takeaway was operating during our stay but not the sit in cafe & we had great food from there. They do veggie options (not sure about vegan). We can't wait to go back and why not when its a 3rd of the price of going to France!
A regular bus service runs within about 200yards of the site but free parking is available in Newquay at each of the main stores, Aldi, Morrison's and Asda.
There is also a well stocked camping shop in Newquay for repairs when things go wrong if the camp shop hasn't already got it.
They also accept parcels at the shop for you from the likes of Camping retailers and Amazon at no extra cost.

We’ve previously visited this area before and had stayed just down the road, we saw this site during our stay and decided to give it a try for one night of our week long trip. The site is a large rectangular field surrounded by a stone walls, the views over to Watergate Bay are great on a clear day but unfortunately we did not get the benefit of it during this stay as it was cloudy and overcast.
The grass pitches are of a generous size and easy to level up and whilst the facilities block was a bit tired, it was adequate for our needs. There is also a playing field attached to the site and in high season the campsite has a café/bar providing drinks and a very extensive menu, we tried a breakfast bap which was tasty and fair value for money. What wasn’t value for money was the £3. 50 charge per dog (per night) having two dogs this bumped the overall cost up to £28. 50 for our one night stay.
We stayed midweek but being the height of the summer it meant that the site was very busy; also there is a footpath running directly through the site, what with this and the amount of people seemingly just hanging around it did not feel very secure.
I love this location, the staff were great but the low rating is a reflection of the cost and the overall feeling I had whilst on the site.

Stopped here for one night as the wife wanted to eat down at the Beach Hut at Watergate Bay.
The greeting upon booking and arrival was very friendly as were the tail wags from the resident collie. The grass on the pitch was well kept and the size of the pitch was good; you do have to follow the instructions for pitching, rather than pitching how you want. No problem and it does at least keep the units well spaced. The views from the pitches are really nice looking out to sea. The on site cafe/restaurant was handy and served up a good breakfast bap.
The facilities were dated and unfortunately weren't the cleanest. This could have been due to a large group that were camping at the time rather than the usual standards of the site. There is a footpath that runs through the site and because of this and the groups of people, it didn't feel the most secure of sites and there was a little edge of uneasiness due to the other clientele.
Whilst it was nice to have a view, we'll go back to using the other site in the village as it felt more secure and relaxed.
