We're told that it's about 350 metres above sea level. The site is relatively level, and quite sheltered as it's surrounded by cupressus trees.
The whole site is shabby. But everything works - the electricity, the hot showers, the microwave and fridge. I'm not sure about the gas cooker.
When we visited in late June there was masses of space, and loads of power points available.
Kevin the elderly arthritic spaniel goes round each unit each morning - friendly but not needy. Niall the owner is friendly and approachable, and did a number of acts of kindness for us and other guests during our visit.
At the bottom of the hill you can access the Glenpatrick Bridge Loop Walk - a circuit of about 5 miles. And it's a short drive to The Vee pass and then on to the spectacular Lismore castle gardens. It's about 90 minutes from Rosslare.
We'd certainly stay there again for a few nights before going west.

This is not a campsite for the faint of heart. It is situated up in the Coneragh mountains and gets a lot of weather. When the weather abates the views are stunning. It is run by a three legged black spaniel called Kevin, assisted by a nice old chap called Niall. The cleanliness of the shower/toilet blocks is about what you would expect from an elderly spaniel. If you are fussy about such things, this is not for you. If you can put up with a bit of grime, it’s worth it for the location and the warmth of the welcome.
There’s a kitchen room with a kettle a couple of fridges and a gas stove that looks like something out of Wallace and Grommitt. The hot water is very hot and plentiful, the showers are good and no extra cost.
There’s an old byre converted into a bar where you can light a peat fire in the evening and chat with the very knowledgable owner on the state of the world.
The wind increases exponentially as you go down the hill. Best to stay at the top if you don’t have a lot of guy ropes! We pitched at the bottom. Only lost one pole.
Fantastic walking in very close proximity. Town of Clonmel with good shops, restaurants etc within 20 mins drive.

Beautifully situated but basic. We stayed for three nights.
The site is ideally positioned for walking in the Comeragh mountains. Despite feeling as if it's in the middle of nowhere it is just a 10/15 minute drive into Clonmel which has all the usual suspects on the shopping front plus a Marks and Spencer.
The tourist information office was excellent.
We had some challenging weather on our last day and were glad to spend the evening in the bar chatting to the owner.
Loos, showers and kitchen are functional but could do with a deep clean and some tlc.
Over all a good and pleasant site which we would happily use again.

Just back from a long weekend at Powers the Pot and we loved it.
We opted for two nights with electricity for tent, two adults and a child. It cost us €33 which I can spend on one night at other sites in Ireland. The owner is very friendly, helpful and a mine of information.
The site is on a working sheep farm in the Comeragh mountains above Clonmel. Pitches are laid around a central games area with level hard standings at the top. Water and electricity points are placed regularly round the site. We opted for a pitch at the bottom, furthest way from showers etc. Facilities are free showers, laundry, WC and campers kitchen. There is also a thatched byre which has a peat fire in the evenings. Though we didn't need it, there is also a child's play area.
This isn't a regulated club site. It is a laid back place catering for tourers and walkers. Facilities are clean but it is a working farm and it looks like a farm which I found charming. We woke up to the sound of sheep, cows and a cuckoo.
Oh yeah, expect a visit from Kevin the extremely well behaved site dog. He does his rounds visiting each pitch to say hello, will play with the kids and, if you are lucky, escort you on your walk to the shower block.
So, to sum up, a wee gem of a place.
