 A relatively small flat site on the N-340.
The pitches are sufficient for caravan, awning and car. Each pitch has an EHU hookup using the standard blue 3 pin plug. Water taps are plentiful.
The pitches are clearly delineated by the kerb markings, and tall pines provide good dappled shade in the hot weather.
There is excellent, free wifi throughout the site and no restriction as to the number of appliances connected.
The reception block also has a small shop and a bar. The staff speak English of sorts but prefer Spanish or French. For those of you who can speak Italian, you are in luck because it is far closer to Catalan than is Spanish.
The unisex sanitaires are a bit old but wonderfully clean and totally enclosed. Toilet paper is provided. Very hot water is available in the wash areas and the washing up. A washing machine is available for €4.
Access to the beach is via an electronically controlled tunnel under the railway lines straight on to a dedicated boardwalk.
About 500yds up the road is a Carrefour Market and fuel station.
Buses to Tarragona, which is worth visiting for its beautiful Ramblas, run about every 20 mins and cost €2 per adult.
Negatives?
(1) The busy, coastal railway is alongside the camp. It is surprising how quickly you can get used to it.
(2) The tall pines which give shelter are often roosts for very large, very ill pigeons, who can pass their own body weight every half hour. Judicial placing of units can avoid it.
(3) Other than the wonderful, dedicated access to the beach, there is not an awful lot around to keep petulant teenagers amused.
We will probably return as it is an easy accessible stopover, has good clean facilities and free wifi
