 Stayed on the last night of opening so very quiet. Mostly good level pitches, some will need levellers.
Facilities were good and we didn't encounter any of the problems of the previous reviewer.
Good large motorhome service area.
The only thing I found strange was that the showers were on the other side of the building to the toilets so that you had to go outside to get from one to the other. ,
The site was in a nice quiet position, not far from Knightstown and the island is quite picturesque.
Cost, €30 which seemed the standard for Ireland.

Well maintained site with three deficiencies.
No heating in shower block
Barely tepid shower water
Toilets do not deliver sufficient water at sufficient speed to clear the bowl, even after three attempts
The criticisms apply to both ladies and gents facilities and are all attributable to penny pinching and easily resolved

This is a lovely site in a gorgeous location.
The facilities are spotless and the owners couldn't help any more than they did.
The playground is very small but there's a massive park about 2/3 mins walk away.
The island itself is quite small but has more than enough things to do to keep adults and kids entertained, especially for Star Wars fans. There is also some great shore fishing with in walking distance or a short drive away.
The village of Knightstown is a very short walk away and has a few bars/cafes and restaurants.
This is a great little site and I would love to stay here again

Great little site. Visited off peak so it was pretty quiet.
All facilities you could need for a short or long visit.
Showers (€1), toilets, washing up facilities, cooking facilities, laundry, indoor play room, outdoor play area, recycling.
Good location, quiet and tidy.
Would happily recommend.

This site is really well run and an ideal location for exploring valentia island. Its only a 3 min walk into knights town were bostons bar, royal valentia hotel are located also the ring lyne is about 2 mile at Chappel town. We ate here most as it's great food and more reasonably priced and had a great atmosphere.
We stayed for a week camping with electric hookup, showers, ablutions, kitchen are kept clean and tidy all the time. Showers were 1 euro aprox 5 mins, kitchen hob 1 euro for 15 mins, laundry 3 euro for washing machine.
Dog friendly, we are keen walkers so mainly stayed here to explore the island on foot, we had a great week and would stay here again.
Also it's worth mentioning the disabled showers as some sites are not great in this area there was plenty of room for wheel chair etc.
Had a great holiday here and will return in the future.
