 This site lies alongside the river Drome, between Crest and Die. It is in two sections either side of a road - there is a tunnel linking them. The section by the river is where most of the pitches are. They vary in size but all are grassy. They are marked out but because there are plenty of trees they can vary slightly in size, shade and ease of access. There very good modern(unisex) sanitary facilities. Plenty of water points and hook up points.
The other side of the road is where most of the rental accommodation is, and the bar/restaurant/take away and the pool. There is free wifi in that area. If you want wifi on your pitch you have to pay.
You can rent bikes, including electric ones. You can mess around in the river from the sites beach. People were launching canoes and there is a canoe rental place not far away.
There is a small 'Mousquetaire' which stocks emergency supplies and bread but no fresh milk. However there is a good Intermarche 15 minutes away in Crest with dirt cheap fuel.
If you like rivers, mountains, cols and gorges, then this area is just paradise. We were there for two weeks. We bought a local IGN road map and barely scratched the surface even though we were out and about every day. The Combe Laval (look it up) and the road down to Bourdeaux (not that one) are an absolute must. Otherwise head for the gorges and the cols. A word of warning to owners of big motorhomes. Some of the roads are single track with hairpins and infrequent passing places. It might be an idea to look at the on Streetview in advance.
Good English is spoken at reception. It is a family owned and run site and the son and daughter of the elderly patron now run it.
ACSI accepted - 17 Euros a night.
This really is one of the nicest sites we have stayed on and its in our favourite area too.
