 At first glance there didn't appear anything particularly special about this site: the pitches are average, the grass could have done with a cut, the sanitaires are modern but could have been a bit cleaner. But, go through the gates and there's a super man-made lake with a fountain and beach, with grassed areas and trees for shade beyond.
The lake has with a clean swimming part (gently shelving so great for little kids but deep enough in the middle to have a good swim) and then a separated area for fishing etc. There's a site-owned restaurant by the lake (snack-type food mostly, like pizzas, rotisserie chicken, crepes etc) and they have a takeaway option.
Go and see the suspended 16th century medieval houses in nearby Pont-en-Royens. It's lovely to walk by the river and see the waterfall where local kids paddle and play. There's a water museum there (we didn't visit, so can't comment on how good it is, or isn't!). There are lots of other scenic villages nearby and the scenary of this region is simply stunning!
There's a trampoline for kids. Some ready-pitched tents and a few cabins around the periphary, all inconspicuous. This is essentially a good, old-fashioned campsite.
For shopping, there's a huge supermarket a short drive away.
The manager is very helpful and friendly. It's definitely one to visit!
