Little has changed in the last 5 years except the wi-fi is now free and extends throughout the site.
It remains still at the lower end of the ACSI scale (€14 in 2022) and the 7=6 discount makes it even more attractive.
The Cave Suffren is still there, run by the same family and well worth the visit

What a great site we used Caravan and Motorhome Club Card for discount. Just as the season finished it was €15 per night with electric.
Lovely hedged pitched but not too shaded just as we like them.
Pool was superb lots of sun beds.
Shop on site but Lidl and Aldi 5 minutes drive away.
Warm showers lots of them for when busy.
Superb value!

A very large sweeping entrance with plenty of room to wait whilst booking into reception.
Although it is a large site, the mature hedging means that there is a feeling of smallness and privacy about all the pitches.
These pitches are all very spacious, flat and unrutted. Most have trees on or around the pitch which provide shade from the midday sun.
Electric hook ups, 10A and of standard European blue plug type, are to be found on the edge of every pitch.
The male and female sanitaires were in process of being completed. Built around enclosed courtyards which contain palms and fern trees. ( Both sexes were using the men’s block during the construction) Toilet paper is not provided but WCs are standard. Shower cubicles are large and the water is hot to very hot.
The pride of place is taken up by the pool complex which is 3200 sq m. A paddling pool, children’s pool, water shoot pool and a large ornate swimming pool. Acres of shaded sunning areas with loads of sunbeds.
There is a large bar/restaurant area which serves as base for the evening entertainment.
About half a mile up the road there is Lidl, Aldi and Intermarche for groceries and food. In the main town is a very good bulk wine store (Rue Suffren) Take any old container and the choice of wines is extensive.
There are miles of beach and safe bathing, and the voie vert which goes to Leucate in one direction, Rivesalts in another and Canet Plage in a third, is close by the campsite.
There is a bus stop just outside for buses to Perpignan (Ligne 13).
An amazingly peaceful site and extremely cheap on ACSI, providing you don’t buy wifi.
We will return at some stage.
