Left a rainy Bristol and arrived at a calm, peaceful, site. Met the lovely Sue and had a tour of the site from the lovely Neil.
But even before arriving, Sue and Dan were so helpful and answered all questions. You literally don't need to bring anything with you.
The tour led us to Gabrielo, the Italian chef, who is so welcoming, funny, kind, great and popular with all the kids. And the Stone baked Pizza is just ridiculously tasty. There is a dining area, the glamping kitchen with everything you need.
Our Safari bell tent was a beautiful space, with everything from the comfort pf the bed, the fireplace with marshmallows, a fire pit with everything you need and the perfect view to wake up to.
We looked forward to coming back to the sote each night. Nothing was too muxh even when we needed more wood each night. It was delivered to the tent.
Even though it was muddy and rained a little bit. It was just so lovely and my son said, "this is amazing every day".
I cant wait to come back again. Very very soon. Thank you so much for my first and best glamping experience.
Rene, Sion and Harris.

Lovely relaxed site serving delicious food. We had their homemade pizza which was delicious and the Sunday roast was incredible. Facilities were varied, the "bar" area with pool table and air hockey etc were fantastic and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, the showers had loads of hot water and had a generous dressing area.
Sadly the toilets were not the cleanest (which should be priority especially at the moment, there was lots of hand gel) and there was someone who was smoking weed all weekend which no one did anything about.
There were also a dog belonging to staff that roamed freely off the lead although the site states dogs must be kept in a lead at all times.
Over all though it's great value for money, they just need to up their cleanliness in the loo s

Friendly & helpful staff, welcomed friendly dogs on lead.
Environmentally friendly facilities. Highly recommend

A great back to nature campsite. Fire pits are welcome as are dogs. Compost loos, showers, washing and washing up area.
Good location for local attractions. Very welcoming staff with a good feel about the place, not your usual fussy/formal campsite.
Will definitely come again.

We used this site to be able to have a short break to give us a base to tour the Mendip Valley area and it has a good location with many places of interest in less than an hours drive. The website looks good and shows the site better than it actually is. The compost toilets are not wonderful as described and are made even worse when the campsite is full as there are only 2 of them making this an unpleasant part of the experience. It is a site that allows large groups to gather together for a noisy weekend and was peaceful up until that point Dogs are welcome but are allowed to just roam about and we even had one in our tent? The site says they should be on a leash at all times but it seemed that it was not enforced. The showers did not work properly for the four nights we stayed. The camp allows open fires which is a good point but fails to have fire point in the main field which are a common feature on all the sites we have visited over the past 15 years. The bathing pond was interesting but we did not want to try. We want to visit the area again but not this site.
