In March the site is only partially open, mainly for overnight stops for those travelling North and South. We stayed for 3 nights as wanted to cycle the Gironde cycle way.
The reason for limit opening is due to the majority of pitches being on grass. There is a hard-standing area by the gate for 5-6 vehicles and a further 2 pitches just inside the site. All have electric hookups.
At this time of year only 1 toilet was open and the disabled shower / toilet room. The water was hot and good pressure. The water to the outside washing up sink was off, but there are 3 sinks in the laundry room with plenty of hot water.
When we stayed there were between 5 and 7 units on each night. The caravans were able to stay hooked up and were off in the mornings but some of the vans lingered a few days.
We cycled the Gironde cycle way North, fabulous path that takes you along the edge of the estuary and through tiny hamlets and harbours. Mainly off road but the few sections on road we saw less than a handful of cars all day.
The nearest village with shops is St. Ciers a selection of independents, a hotel and a Sup U. Approx 30 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive. Perfect area for those who like cycling, walking and wine tasting.
At this time of year the site is very quiet and peaceful (note - restaurant is not open and no bread service).
Would use again as a transit site in low season - €15 incl electric, showers and wifi.

These days we are tending to linger longer on some sites, but this was a convenient stop over between the Gers and Loire valley, so booked 9 nights to explore a region we had not visited before. Sadly the weather was unkind so unable to make the best of our time.
The small 30-pitch site is owned and run by a friendly, hard working Dutch couple, Alexander and Aletta. They have two delightful children who both speak good English, the daughter waited on in the small cafe on one of our two visits where the meals were simple, tasty and good value.
The toilets/showers were clean, modern, push button variety, but plenty of hot water. Washing machine is available but didn't use. Washing up sinks were functional and again with hot water.
Bread was available to order and delivered right to the pitch around 8. 30am.
We were invited by Alexander to a local vineyard for a tour and tasting of the local 'pineau', a wine fortified with brandy which was interesting.
It would be a good site for families as there is play equipment, volley ball pitch and swimming pool. They have a number of pet animals such as ponies, donkey, sheep, goats, chickens and ducks.
We had several wet days, but we did manage a trip out to picturesque Talmont, 30/40 minutes away, clearly aimed at tourists with its numerous restaurants and gift shops. The Citadel at Blaye was interesting for a stroll and free admission.
We would not use again for a long stay but the site makes an ideal and popular NH since it is 10-15 minutes from the A10. Good value too with ACSI low season rate of €15pn.
