We are a little biased perhaps as we only live just down the road, but this site is as close to perfect as it's possible to get. It's in a lovely location and the site facilities are superb.
The wide, flat pitches all look West through trees toward the lake, which makes for a very pleasant walk to see the water lilies and the heron.
We will be back!

Excellent site large generous size pitches. Mick and Anna so friendly and helpful. Have visited many times over the last 4 years and never want to leave.
The installation of the washing machine and freezers with ice cream and ready meals make the holiday even more attractive.
The ‘forgotten shelf’ is another added attraction - if you arrive and have forgotten teabags, sugar etc you can borrow off the shelf as long as you replace it.
Sure is definitely home from home.

A lovely site in a pretty part of the countryside, where the Midlands starts to become the Peak District. Easy to find, but only approach as per the CC instructions, there is a ford, albeit a small one, coming from Combridge.
The price of £15 per night we thought was worth it in this case, the welcome was warm but then we were left alone, no rush to pay. There is a small area with a washing machine, loo, local ice cream for sale and some emergency supplies to buy. The only slight gripe is that water and bins are down by the farm, it would be better if they were in the centre of the site.
Rocester is the nearest village, has 2 shops and an expensive garage. It also has the headquarters of JCB, with a visitor centre (we didn't try it). It's about 5 miles from Uttoxeter for larger shops.
You can walk the dog around the farm fields which are not being used; further afield there are good walks in the Churnet valley.
