Not sure why this site has no reviews though it may be because it's a new site. We booked here whilst Mr Billings was away but he told us what to do when we got here. Very easy to find with a big entrance so your rig is not sticking out into the road while you open the gate. The chemical waste is just off from the gate and fresh eggs just outside the gate. First we set up on pitch 2 but the slope at the back was a bit too much so we recamped to pitch 5 which was better though the front of the caravan was nearly to the ground. One tap for each two pitches which was good with plenty of space between. Uphill view across a small field to the woods and side view to the right. Although there is an aggregate plant about 400 yards up the road you can't see it and we never heard any noise and 99% of the traffic went the other way and not past the site so please don't let that put you off staying here. The location is great for all the places you want to visit e. G. Bakewell with its market day on Monday, Buxton, Ashbourne, Belper, Matlock, Leek to name but a few. We found an idyllic little place called Milldale with a stream not far away, totally unexpected find and on another trip came across Hettys Tea Shop in Froghall. We had grilled Italian flat bread with Jack Daniels Honey Crispy chicken, avocado, cheese, spinach, sesame seeds and olive oil but we really could have had one between us as it was so big, had to have a doggie bag. There is a Morrisons and Aldi in both Belper and Ashbourne. We had perfect weather which does help. I would call this an adult site as there is nothing here for children except a field and I wouldn't want ball games here. We would come back if in the area again.
