We stayed here for two nights. We wanted to be near Ponferada and this was the nearest
we found (our sat nav indicated two closer but one was clearly out of business and the other had a large 'No Dogs' sign.
Very quiet location up a lane about 400m from the road and the Camino de Santiago. In a bowl surrounded by steep hills and going down to a small river.
It was not clear on arrival if the site was open but we were eventually able to rouse the young man who together with his female partner was in charge. Largish open area with distinct pitches. Only two/three other units - Two were supporting walkers doing the Camino.
Difficult to convey how rundown and bodged up the toilet/shower facilities are but clean. Laundry area seemed to be flooded by leaky pipe.
Good wi-fi reception on the field.
We experienced heavy thunderstorm and rain the second night - presumably it was this that tripped a fuse cutting off the electricity supply and wi-fi and the water supply. We were able to able to contact the aforementioned man in the morning ( the prospect of continuing poor weather had decided us upon moving on ) he was unaware of the problem with the the power but was able to get it it sorted.
There are a number of things to see in the area worth seeing and like us you might feel that this makes up for the less than acceptable condition of the facilities.
We did not get to try the restaurant or find out the opinion of a couple who did -I would be reluctant to trust the 'slacker 'pair running the site to produce decent food.
