Good site, nice grass pitches, we had ehu,
Quiet after 9am, which we appreciate, having two restless dogs.
Good fishing lakes, well stocked with young fish.

Working farm with various animals: horses, cows, sheep, chickens, geese, and ducks.
Outstanding views, with fantastic night skies, when clear. Unfortunately arrived in a monsoon downpour and had to wait for ages to pitch. Our pitch was flooded as were several others, but Clive moved us to the other side which was higher and quite well drained.
Re Covid: the loo/shower situation was handled quite well when we worked it out. There were several large groups and chalk boards told us all when to shower etc. Nice walk (over stiles) to village with great shop and fab pub.
Kids had rope and tyre swings away from everyone and they enjoyed the mud.
We had one caravan, one tent, and one couple in a shepherd”s hut. The huts are a long walk to the loos!
If you like freedom and not being in rows, this is for you. If you like clipped grass and lighting, don’t bother.
Some of the lanes approaching the site are narrow, so be careful how you drive in.
Will return.

Absolutely brilliant site in a lovely part of the country, near to the coast and stunning beaches. The owners are super friendly, without being intrusive, and so laid back.
We were encouraged to sit outside with fire pits (provided free of charge) in the evenings - absolute bliss and what camping is all about.
Our pooch was welcome on site too with the usual considerations required. There is a beautiful pond with ducks and geese on site and spectacular views of the hills in the distance. Pitch prices are good value which include kids, dogs, awnings and pup tents - no hidden extras.
Excellent facilities- lots of loos and showers, plus washing up facilities with hot water. There’s also a quirky old telephone box with a loo and sink, at the far side of the site.
There’s a fridge and freezer available inside and a separate cooking/food prep hut with a good selection of herbs and spices. Lots of lovely touches to make you feel welcome and relaxed. We have already planned to go again this year and can’t wait!
