Very tidy and well looked after site, about 4 miles from Aberdyfi.
Warden very pleasant.
We didn’t have the best weather, but had a sheltered pitch so we weren’t in the wind too much.
Hard ground pegs are advisable.
Toilets and free showers are very clean.
Wonderful socialising shelter with pizza oven.
All in all we had a great few days, and will be back to this beautiful site.

What a fantastic site - close to perfect (unisex showers and toilets are not our favourite but no awkward meetings while we were there!).
We had the small campervan pitch which you could make very private if you wished.
The woodland walk around the site was absolutely lovely - fantastic for children and adults alike with natural surprises along the way.
The Nest is fabulous - built out of natural timbers with a pizza oven and tables for undercover gatherings. A small lake and lots of nooks and crannies.
Glamping units looked wonderful. Sadie and Grant both very helpful. Circular walk to the Bearded Lake on our arrival afternoon.
Longer walk to Aberdovey on our full day. Walk details from reception. There were farm dogs on the first part of the walk who were keen to greet us and our on-lead dog but it was manageable.
We also came a bit too close to a herd of cows but Sadie offered an alternative walk to avoid these two for our second day.
We got the bus back from Aberdovey and had a pint in the Brit pub while we waited for the bus.
Dropped us at site entrance. Very impressed with the site.

We booked this in 2019 for 2020 and sadly due to covid lock down we’re unable to go. At last this year we were able to go, & wow!
It’s the most lovely site.
Pretty and quiet and unique and friendly.
The facilities were pristine as well as so new looking and well kept.
The owners are super chilled and friendly we took our dog who was very happy with his allotted woodland walk Dogs are very much welcomed.
It’s just a Short drive into aberdovey with its amazing beach & ice creams. We drove into Machynlleth on Wednesday to the lovely market held there.
Then next day a trip to Aberystwyth Yesterday was a trip to dolgoch water falls which we fell in love with only paying £2 for car parking.
Falls are free to visit
We so loved it here and if we weren’t 6-8 hrs drive away we’d be back in a flash but definitely WILL be back!

What a beautiful site! The site is kept spotless and kept natural looking. Facilities are spotless and hot free showers. The showers are unisex, but had no problems with this. We were pitched on the lower level and had plenty of room. Unfortunately we were there when storm callum hit. The site was pretty well protected and no flooding of pitches. Plenty of walks around site and dogs made welcome. The site is very relaxed and friendly. Sadie and grant, feel like old friends.
There are no serviced pitches but all facilities close to pitches.
Phone signal poor, EE was best. Tv signal was fine. Only minus was no wifi, as like to be in contact with family.
We were so relaxed here, we have booked again for next year. Cannot wait.
Well done Sadie and Grant!

Had 8 fantastic nights at this fabulous campsite in July and have to say it's probably one of the best sites we have visited. The owners haven't had the site long (I believe it used to be a CC CL) and it is a credit to their hard work and determination.
The toilet and shower facilities are new this year; they are powered by the sun and are unisex but don't let that put you off. There was always plenty of hot water and privacy was not an issue with plenty of room (& hooks, bench, shelf) in the individual shower cubicles. The toilets are composted ones, they function as a normal toilet (& smell very pleasant) and soap and paper towels are provided. There is a wash up area and this also was brand new for the season.
The site is set in amazing woodlands, great for walks with the dog. There is a lovely lake and picnic benches are dotted around the site for guests to use.
Aberdovey is about 3 miles away. There is a footpath across the road which takes you under the train line, but if the tide is in, it's impassable. There are no pavements so we used the car, driving to a layby just past the outdoor centre, where another footpath takes you down to a private cove or you can walk along the Roman road (it's not a road and has nothing to do with the Romans) to Aberdovey, stopping off at the beer garden at the Penhelig Arms for refreshments.
We spent time in Aberdovey watching the boats and eating cakes at the tea rooms, we drove to Fairbourne and walked to Barmouth and we visited Aberystwyth and Towyn.
There is so much to do and see in the area that we will almost certainly revisit this site, but I can see it becoming very popular so I just hope they can fit us 😀
One thing to mention, the ground is very hard so don't forget your rock pegs.
