 Basic (Take a torchlight to use the loos after dark) but good value (£4 per person) site, within walking distance from the lifeboat station and Ramsey Island boat trips, which saves having to find parking in the limited spaces which can fill up when boat trippers arrive (There is also an overflow parking field opposite the thatched house). Website says, 'The campsite is on the left hand side with signage on the road pointing you to the pitches, ' but actually you can't see the signage from the road. Heading towards the lifeboat station, turn left (after passing the sign for Pencarnan Farm site on your right), into the field just BEFORE the thatched building on your left. Once in that field, steer to your right and THEN you can see the entrance to the campsite field, complete with signage. The site is also very handy for the cliff top walk to Whitesands beach where you can hire a surfboard for an hour for £5 or £15 for the day. Walk down the road where the Pencarnan sign is, follow the footpath down to Porthsele beach and the clifftop path, rising up to your right, takes you to Whitesands beach. Plenty of space in which to to find a reasonably flat pitch. Friendly white horse in top field.
