 This is an attractive, medium sized site just outside the small town of Sille le Guillaume. It has a variety of pitches of different shapes and sizes, some open, some in the shade of trees, some divided by hedges and some not. The pitches have a 6amp electricity supply and water points are plentiful. We found the site to be generally well-kept, but not manicured! There are some pre-erected tents and statics scattered around the site but it still feels like a touring site. We received a very friendly welcome from the hard-working Dutch owners, who offered a much appreciated cold drink on arrival, and they were more than happy to advise about the area etc. There are 2 toilet/shower blocks and in the one nearest us, towards the back of the site, the facilities were old-fashioned but adequate, though we preferred to shower in the 'van. There is an open games field, a large bouncy castle, mini-golf, a small playground and a pool. Free Wi-Fi is available in the area behind Reception. The downhill walk into town along quiet lanes took around 15 mins - uphill on the way back took a little longer! There is a decent SuperU supermarket and a variety of small shops and cafes in the town, and a couple of fairly pricey restaurants. A large lake with watersports etc is a cycle-ride or short drive away. At the moment, Camping Cheques are accepted all season, and the site will also be accepting the ACSI card in 2018. For our short stay we preferred the location of this site to the 2 larger ones near the lake and would happily use again if in the area.
