A pleasant site with clean shower and toilet facilities together with washing-up area and waste disposal point if you use your own toilet.
Large bench table and fire pit in the middle of the field with holiday Yurt in an adjacent field.
Not sure if there is a disposal point for grey waste using the Wastemaster with wheels as the owners were away for the weekend, but no problem as we used their facilities.
Good views and no traffic noise. TV reception good.
Small Co-OP shops and Takeaway in Mere and Gillingham.
Very nice flat site with lovely views across open countryside.
Nice shower and toilet which is kept very clean.
The area is good for visiting the historic sites of Wiltshire and N Dorset. "Hovis Hill" in Shaftesbury is a must.
We also visited Stonehenge but be aware that the cost is ridiculous if you aren't a member of the National Trust or English Heritage. If you aren't a member you can see most of it for no cost and avoid the daylight robbery of the admission fee (£23 per adult).
Carol is a very helpful and friendly lady who made us feel very welcome.
We got slightly confused by the fact that the site is now called "East Lawn Farm" but that was a minor problem.
The only slight negative point we could make is that the electric points could be distributed better - it didn't cause a problem for us but it could if the site was crowded.
This is a small 5 van site. Enter through large farm gate and park in yard. The owners are in the house on the right. We were greeted by them, very friendly welcome and everything was explained to us. There were only two units on site, but there is plenty of room for five and a large fire pit in middle of site.
A new toilet/ shower block was put up this year.
A flat site with views of. Fields, Shaftesbury in the distance. Quiet and peaceful.
