Our second trip to this site, this time specifically because we wanted to spend a day in Rouen. The bus stops outside the campsite and the trip costs 2 euros each way per person.

We were down in the open part of the site, but the pitches are clearly separated and ours was bordered by the most heavenly smelling honeysuckle.

As it was low season, everything was low key, but Madame was on call all the time where needed. We hadn't booked ahead, but the site was very quiet.

In the end we stayed an extra night as we wanted to visit a war grave near Caen and it seemed hardly worth moving.

The washing facilities are unisex, but there are plenty of showers. However, not everyone might be comfortable with the urinals along one wall. No seats or toilet paper, but that is common throughout most of France.

A downside of this site is the distance from the facilities (especially for wheeling water and waste), which are slightly uphill from the pitches.

Another is that the free wifi is only accessible near the salle and reception. However, our 4g was fine.

We paid 21. 40 euros per night.

We found this site by accident when we broke down on the outskirts of Rouen and the breakdown people brought us here.

This is a small family run site, mostly open, but with a few older, shadier pitches near to reception. Clean facilities, with mixed gender loos and showers. No seats and you need your own toilet paper - as in most of France! There is a salle near to reception and wi fi is free in this area.

There are not many hook-up posts, so a long cable might be needed.

There is traffic noise at times from the nearby motorway.

At the time we were there, no bread or other goods were available in reception (it may be different in high season), but the small village is less than 1km away. This has boulangerie; boucherie, greengrocer who also sells some dairy items and a small bar/tabac. There are supermarkets in the next town (Barentin).

The site is well placed for a trip into central Rouen and, for those who prefer not to drive, a bus stops outside the site. Fares in 2017 are 2 euros each way. The bus will also allow dogs.

Very friendly and helpful owners. We were here for several days and also needed to have our dogs re-wormed for our return home. Madame arranged a vet and also arranged a cab to take us there and back.

The site seems little known and was very quiet when we were there. Very few Brits seemed to find it, but those who did said that it was the site closest to central Rouen that they could find.

Cost for 5 nights was 112 euros, which included 2 dogs.
