 What a gem!
5 van CS site, with space on level pitches at £20pn with EHU
A great place to unwind, Jenny and Paddy have thought of quirky and great ideas for campers.
Small cases full of local information, a camping shed with everything campers/kids could want available to borrow: wooden recliners, picnic tables, swings and play area, large field to walk in, excersise the dog let children run free. Kids can play in the river, kick a ball ………a herb garden, pots of flowers, very country and relaxing.
Plenty of places to explore, not far from Dartmoor or sea, walks from the campsite if you want to stay local.
BP garage and Spar shop less than a mile away, pubs less than 10mins drive.
Owing to COVID restrictions no facilities were open, it didn’t matter as the pitches have EHU and our facilities were more than adequate.
We followed the directions given coming from the North, however meeting a wide load on a narrow Devon road was a little hairy! The bridge at Gara is old humpback and NARROW.
We tow a small 2 berth and decided to leave using the route to Totnes and A38, much less stressful.
The owners Jenny and Paddy are lovely, this is a site we cannot wait to return to.

Pitch by the River Avon complete with recliner and table. Lovely level field. The location is beautiful with walks along the river from the site.
Huge paddock next to the pitch area awash with butterflies. Great for kids to just have fun messing about. Little touches such as 'help yourself' herb garden and bird seed add to the appealing nature of this site.
Unfortunately, due to Covid, the facilities were not open but a site community 'barn' (also not open) had stuff for kids in case of a rainy day.
The site owners were so welcoming and we enjoyed passing the time of day chatting.
The site is well positioned to get to the coast and its' beautiful beaches or up onto Dartmoor.
