 Just one night at this excellent municipal site.
Large pitches, grass and plenty of shade if required.
The previous two reviews said it all.
The ablutions block has been recently revamped with new shower/loo and washing facilities.
Ideally close to our winter caravan storage drop off point.

Very nice site on an island in the Loire, the entrance is between two bridges over the river. It’s a grassy site with plenty of mature trees for shade but open areas as well. There is a fridge for campers use and tables and chairs under a large awning for eating.
Modern, clean sanitary facilities are upstairs, separate blocks for men and women (although if the site is not busy, only one block is open and shared) plenty of loos and showers, soap and toilet paper provided.
Washing up and laundry sinks and disabled facilities are downstairs, as well as washing lines. Breakfasts are available in a covered area next to reception. Wifi is free but only close to the reception area. It’s pretty cheap, with discounts for stays of two or more nights, and there are pre-pitched tents for hire too.
Saint Florent le Vieil is a short walk across one of the bridges, the cycle path runs along the river bank and there is a big church up on the hill with lovely views from its gardens. A hotel just across the bridge serves meals and drinks on a terrace over the river.
Nearest big shop is on the other bank, about 5 mins drive from the campsite.

This is a nice municipal site. It is by one of the Loire Bridges and close to the Loire a Vélo cycling walking route. It has reasonable WiFi around the reception cabin.
Sanitary facilities and laundry / washing machine are up a flight of external stairs but there are disabled toilets on the ground floor. The facilities are old but clean and plenty of hot water.
Pitches are marked and generous grass areas. Lots of trees for shade, but satellite reception is possible if pitch chosen carefully. Usual reasonably priced municipal facilities. Reception has a small library and odds and ends for sale but no fresh produce. CC not accepted. Village with shops, restaurant, bar within walking distance and Super you within 10 minutes by car. Nice winery within 15 minutes by car.
The site is actually on an river island and nice cycling or walking from the gate.
