An unusual campsite as there are no marked out pitches, just find a place. While we were there it was quite quiet so had lots of spots to choose from, there is some shade.
Excellent welcome, English spoken. While we were there it was very dry but apparently in wet weather it can get quite muddy so a lot of campers choose to park on the roadways which seems to work fine.
The toilets and showers have recently been refurbished and were very good and clean. Make sure you can reach an electric point before pitching.
It is about 20/30min walk into Tavira itself which is well worth the effort and there are supermarkets also within walking distance.
A boat ride, 2€ return takes you to llih de Tavira where there are excellent beaches.
There is a train station close by to get to Faro etc. Over 65 get a fare reduction if proof of age is produced.
All this and free WiFi for 9. 90€, great value.
