First of all I would like to clarify that in my opinion, the access road to this site is okay. Yes there is a short single track road and some hills but nothing like as bad as you may picture after reading the above review. It's all well and good having a '2.9 litre trubo diesel', no use if your tyres are bald or for whatever reason the other reviewer could not get up to the site. We managed a 5 tonne 2.7 litre turbo diesel motorhome and car no problem.
Anyway back to the site. Well this place is really a residential site. The toilet was locked and there are no showers, just an outside tap. There is a sign that says you can obtain a Ladies Toilet key from one of the tenants. However, there was no reply at the door and the owner did not answer his mobile. As a result we were unable to empty our Thetford or grey waste. Very annoying this was, though we managed to get around it as we do carry a spare cassette.
We spent 2 nights on site at a cost of £20 a night, far from cheap but we did enjoy peace and quiet and the site was handy for what we wanted. As I said, there are no facilities, no children's play area, laundry TV room or anything else for that matter.
I did pay the £20 a night as requested, only because I had inspected the site whilst passing and was aware of the cost in advance.
Unsure if we would use it again as there are so many better sites available to us in this area at much cheaper rates. However, If you consider what some of the club sites charge for a spot like this (up to £55 a night for 6 occupants) rather than a site like this, I guess the cost is not so expensive, so long as you do not require any facilities.
Overall, peaceful get away from it all and a car will be required if you want to nip about anywhere. Do check with 'Angus' in advance to ensure you have access to the toilet. If you need to empty your loo, I think the site has a sceptic tank so you would only be able to use Bio additives in the system and not Blue!
A shame really as a little investment in a very small log cabin with some showers and male & female toilets would make such a dramatic improvement. Even if that meant paying 20p or so for each shower like many other sites do.

I booked for two nights and was told to ring the owner when I arrived at the site and he would take me to the pitch. I called before setting off to ensure that he knew we were still coming and told him what time we would arrive. On arrival I called his mobile which went to answerphone! As the caravan was sitting in a single track road and we were in the way I had no alternative but to continue to the site. It was raining and as we came to a steep slop everything turned nightmare. 2.9litre turbo diesel would not pull the caravan up the hill. Rang the owner to tell him we were stuck and this time he answered but said he was miles away up a roof! and that his wardens were not in. A man who was waiting to pass us on his way out got in our car and with tyres spinning, rubber burning, smoke pouring from under the bonnet and four people behind the caravan pushing, he finally got to the top of the hill. I then called the owner again and asked him where we were to pitch after explaining where we were. He cursed and said that we had gone too far up the hill and the pitches were further back down the hill and that even if we turned the caravan round (which we had to unhitch and hitch again to do as on single track road) we would not be able to access the pitch from that direction. Whilst all this was going on my mother needed the toilet and went to find it. She returned saying it was locked and that it looked disgusting and the steps to get to it were lethal. She also noticed that the area to pitch the caravan was far too small anyway and even if we had got to it we would have had difficulty turning the caravan round to get out again as the pitch was broadside to the road. We left the site two hours after arriving, totally stressed out
