A quiet site on a working farm.
The Family owners are all involved, from making the ice-cream, to running the bar at the weekends and managing the site.
Very lovely setting and relaxed site. One or two ideas for them though, which I appreciate is difficult when working on the farm:
Update the bathroom facilities, which are only 2 showers and 4 toilets for the whole site and are unisex. All clean and hygienic, but I didn't really enjoy the unisex usage.
Also, they should consider a recycling point.
Having said that, I do like the site and would love to visit again

Go here regularly with family. The kids love running around playing on the little toy tractors.
Maize maze and tractors rides are enjoyed this time of year- and of course icecream! The icecream parlour also does hot food.
Sometimes watch Mr Solley take off in his aeroplane. There is a unit with 2 toilet cubicles, and 2 showers with toilets.
The other unit had a couple of toilet cubicles, and a disabled toilet /shower room. Majority of the time it is kept clean.
Staff are friendly and helpful.

Good location for walking to Walmar castle and the beach. Very nice quiet friendly site.
To improve the WiFi code could be given on check in.
There could be a socket to charge your phone somewhere when you are in a tent and not got an adapter for the standard motor home electricity points.
The shop opening times could be displayed by the shop. Enjoyed our stay.

Great place to stay, lots of walks lovely scenery. On site nice clean toilets and showers.
Ice cream Parlour with home made ice-creams so many to choose from, tractor rides. And if your lucky watch the farmer take off in his plane.
Would highly recommend and would stay there again.

Very much a part of a working farm you are settled in the rolling hills with some fantastic walks for the dogs with access to the sea if you have the energy for a long walk or fancy a cycle.
Pitches seem to all come with electric and toilets and showers are clean.
Onsite cafe and sales of the famous Solleys Ice Cream.
Very friendly owner and peaceful environment.

Very handy for visiting Deal.
However disappointed in facilities.
Housed in a 'container' there are two toilets and one shower and basin.
Site varies some hilly some flat.

This is a really great ‘off the beaten track’ site. If you want peace and quiet and don’t mind using the facilities you’ve paid so much for in your caravan / motor home (there are no loo’s or showers which is reflected in the nightly rate) but water and hookup are provided then I can recommend it. Mr Solley was friendly and extremely helpful, although it did surprise us when he flew in to his private grass strip runway on the farm before checking that we were OK (I kid you not).
Can highly recommend the small shop which sells basic provisions and of course Solley’s ice cream.
Access to the site wasn’t a problem following the directions given although the road to Ripple was quite narrow. Walking and cycling from the site was a pleasure as there is much to see. Longest walk we did was 17 miles to Dover and then back along the cliffs. We dinned one evening at Plough Inn in the village, beer and food very good and reasonably priced.
