Suggest you don’t follow satnav or Google Maps. Once off the main road and heading for Rinlo follow the Rinlo Costa Camping sign.

Really warm and genuine welcome at the family owned and run small rural site. The facilities are modern and kept meticulously clean. Unlike many campsites in Spain/Portugal the showers are roomy and all water that should be hot is!

Electric and pedal bikes are available to hire.

Neither wifi nor mobile phone signal is brilliant.

The town and coast at Rinlo is a short flat walk away though while the town is a typical fishing village and picturesque it’s pretty quiet and when we were there only one of the restaurants were open and there’s no grocery store.

There’s bread available from the camp restaurant which also seemed popular serving reasonably priced food and drink.

On our way to the site we stopped at a very large Eroski on the outskirts of Ribadeo. There’s also an unattached petrol station next door selling very reasonably priced fuel.

There’s an infrequent train service into Ribadeo which is certainly worth a visit. When we went the train left at 11:20 and Ribadeo at 15:00. The 10 minute journey cost 1. 65 euro each way.

Thoroughly enjoyed this site and area and would have stayed longer if time permitted.
